Not one to ever shy away from color, I wear red every chance I get. Bright colors and jewel tones suit me better than pastels, which tend to wash me out. It is always helpful to know your fashion color palette, as it makes choosing clothing so much easier. This outfit came together with pieces that I’ve owned for a while. I started with these fabulous Moncer track pants, which I also have in black, here and here. I do that occasionally. If a pant or top fits me well and is available in other colors and on sale, I will buy it in both colors.
The blazer is by Marella, and I picked it up a coupe of years ago at Girl Candy in Winnipeg. I love this brand because it’s classic with a twist. And the red and cream plaid picks up the cream stripe of the red pant. Mu camilsole is by Cnq a Sept and it has been layered under many a pant suit. A basic like this one in cream silk is a must have item for everyone.
For accessories, I decided to go with my tried and true Giuseppe Zanotti pumps, that I’ve had for years. It’s difficult to match reds , so deferring to cream is always the way to go. However, for the bag, I decided to pull out this classic now vintage bag that I found at Neiman Marcus about 25 years ago. I hang on to many fahsion items, because as they age, they just get better and better.
A red lip was a no brainer for this look, and Laura Geller’s Red lipstick fit the bill. And the necklace and earrings of choice for this outfit was obvious to me as well, my Julie Vos Tudor Neckalce and Antonia earrings in Iridescent Clear Crystal, which are both linked below in Shop The Post.
