The cargo pant has made an enormous comeback this year, as jeans, khakis or faux leather. However, these satin ones by Frame, are the absolute winners. Relaxed in the leg yet straight and uniform all the way to the bottom, they are fitted at the waist and hips, thereby elongating the leg and making me look much taller than I am. For this alone, the pants get high marks.
Also unique to these pants are the two belt loops. There is a wide loop for belting at the waist and a lower smaller one for belting at the hip. This allowed me to style the pants in two ways.
I decided to insert a narrow belt through the lower loops and front tuck a sexy sweater by Nina Ricci that is now vintage as it was purchased 15 years ago, proving that it pays to hold on to certain pieces of clothing.
Looping a wide statement belt at the waist calls for a dressier and tighter-fitting top. This leopard print blouse by Michael Kors works perfectly and the black patent pump completes this look.
A high boot looks as great with these pants, as does a high heel. I suppose if one is tall, flats would be great as well. However, at 5’3.5″ I will add a few inches whenever I can!
Many of the items I am wearing are no longer available, but I have similar ones for less here in the
