It’s fall, but you would never know it, here in Los Angeles. Yet, I want to bring out some autumn clothing to usher in my favorite season. While I was in New York last month filming the Bloomingdales promo, which will be out soon, I hope, I got two pairs of shorts. I am not one to shy away from shorts during any season. In summer I pair them with a tee and in winter I wear them with tights and boots.
I do not subscribe to any fashion rules, and I certainly do not believe that reaching a particular age demands the retirement of certain clothes. If you feel good about what you are wearing, that is exactly what the world sees. A confident woman is a beautiful woman as I believe that beauty comes from within. The women in my life who are the most beautiful to me are the ones who are lit from within. Their joy is palpable, and their confidence sets them apart from others.
Now I will move on to this wonderful lightweight sweater by Paule Ka, one of my favorite designers. The detail on the neckline is what attracted me, it elevates it from being basic to fabulous. I am quite certain that it will be on repeat throughout fall and winter.
These super comfy leather slingbacks by Bottega Veneta are just that… super comfy. In fact, I first purchased these shoes in white, and after wearing them for a month all day long, pain-free, I ordered them in black. If you are comfortable wearing shorts in summer, why not try them for fall and winter. The high waist and mid-thigh length makes them flattering and appealing. Try moving them from your “not for me list,” to your shortlist!
