It’s too hot here in Los Angeles, and there is no relief in sight! Luckily all the summer clothing is drastically reduced, so now is the time to reap the benefits of waiting for the sales! This skirt by Reiss is on sale, as are these cute heels by Tabitha Simmons. I found this skirt at Bloomingdales in New York and fell in love with its beautiful pattern. Pleated skirts continue to trend, and for good reason. Pleated skirts are flattering and comfortable and their movement is graceful and feminine. As I stated before, I am not putting away my whites any time soon, and certainly not this one! I tried to tuck in a blouse, but this skirt is very sheer and I didn’t like the look of it peeking through. After scouring my closet, I decided on this cropped top by Tibi that I have owned for years. In addition, you can always have a lovely blouse over the skirt and belt it at the waist.
Several years ago, I received these Dior pearl tribal earrings as a gift. This year, Dior came out with an updated version of the earring, one that has a letter of the alphabet attached to it. I purchased an “L” and paired it with the original. I wear it all the time, as I absolutely love it! And let’s talk about this cool and bold chain bracelet by Oscar De La Renta. I have worn it over and over again. Oscar makes some wonderful costume jewelry that is well priced and worth exploring. I completed the look with one of my favorite charm necklaces by Cathryn Wagner. As we move closer to the Jewish New year, I am always looking for white apparel to symbolize the holiday. I believe that this skirt fits the bill for its elegance and lightweight fabric.
