A beautiful coat is always a must-have item for everyone. It can be thrown on for warmth as well as style, especially if it’s as lush as this marigold suede one by Theory. I know what you’re thinking… suede is a delicate fabric, requiring a “handle with care” attitude. However, sometimes you simply must throw caution to the wind and trust that the fashion gods will be on your side. To that end, I do not plan to eat, drink or apply lipstick while wearing it. Otherwise, the sky’s the limit!
Let’s move on to the jeans. L’Agence is a fashion house that I have loved for a while and their denim is fantastic. It has a lot of shape and a lot of stretch, without bagging out or falling down. I was not sure about this pair with its chain pattern; I thought it might not flatter my thighs, but after much encouragement from the shop owner, Jami Lyn, I emerged from the fitting room and liked what I saw. With this much print to the pant, it’s best to keep the top quiet, hence why I opted for a white blouse. I could not believe how well my tried and true, now-vintage Dior boots with their yellow heel, added to this outfit. In addition, the black boot seems to extend the length of my leg. I can wear these pants with flats, but I think they look best with a heel.
