Here’s how this outfit came to be. I was watching the season finale of the TV show, “The Affair,” and one of the characters was wearing these Marc Jacobs jeans. Hmmm, I thought to myself, I haven’t worn mine in a while… see here. And so, the next morning, I was inspired to remove them from their apparent hiding and put them on! I added this amazing Paige light blush colored blouse and topped it with another light blush colored leather jacket by Lamarque, one of the best-priced leather brands, also seen here. These sparkly Valentino shoes were scored years ago at a Barney’s shoe sale. But the true star of this show is this Fendi handbag, once owned by my friend Taraji Henson. In case you missed my newsletter a couple of weeks ago, I wrote about a charity event that I attended in Los Angeles. The event was to introduce a foundation that was created by Taraji, who saw a need to address mental health in the African American community. Taraji named the foundation after her late father, Boris Lawrence Henson. She donated fabulous pieces from her closet (like this Fendi bag), in order to raise money and awareness. Taraji’s passion is an inspiration; she had an idea and brought it to fruition with her commitment and passion. There is nothing more gratifying and fulfilling than shopping for a cause. What inspires your outfits?
I love the different silhouette of these jeans!! It’s so fun to pair it with dressier things like you have!!
My gorgeous friend…and I get to see you in less than a week!! Yay!!
