Could this wall be more perfect for this outfit? As Janet and I were driving down East Palm Canyon Drive, in downtown Palm Springs, we put on the brakes as we knew this wall was the fabulous choice for this grey patterned outfit. I used to shy away from mixing patterns, but as I have learned over the years, if the colors are in a similar palette, it can work. I emerged from the car apprehensively, unsure of how Janet, my interior designer/artist sister with a keen eye, would react. She loved it! I breathed a sigh of relief.
In a way, this wall of dots captures the essence of the tale behind this ensemble. If you have ever played “connect the dots,” you know that you will end up with an image of something. In this case, I connected the colors of pink, purple, and grey, and ended up with this outfit. Be bold and make bold choices with your outfits. Connect the dots of color by thinking outside the box, you can create many outfits in your closet.
What a fabulous way to mix prints, Lesley!! I’m not a pro at it by any means, but it’s certainly a fun way to put together outfits!! And that wall?? How perfect!!
