Fall Forecast

Fall is in the air and the fashion forecast calls for red, flats, cross-bodies, graphics, and cropped denim. In this outfit, I have attempted to incorporate all of these trends. Graphic tees have been huge for a few years, and now they are making their way into sweaters. I was instantly drawn to this adorable Korky the Cat graphic sweater. It pairs perfectly with these cute jeans by McGuire, with their side stripes and frayed cropped bottoms. I have never owned a pair of Gucci loafers, but I can tell you that after slipping my feet into these, which were a splurge, I can see why they have been so enormously popular for decades. They are incredibly comfortable, and since red is trending in a big way for fall and winter, these will fit into my wardrobe perfectly.

As I am getting older, I have found a new friend not only in flats but in smaller cross-body bags as well. I am also not a tall person, and I think a smaller bag suits my stature more than a large oversized one. As I look back on some of the photos here on this blog, I can see that the more oversized bags take up nearly half of my body size and tend to overpower me. I feel much more comfortable with a smaller bag; I can slip my essentials, like my driver’s license, cash, and credit cards into a cute change purse/cardholder and still have room for lipstick, sunglasses, and my phone. My fall forecast is looking good with stylish choices that are also good for my health!
